I have also started a new series titled "Two-Day Study Series." My inspiration for this comes from topics that I or one of my children have had an interest for at some point. These topics didn't seem to have enough quality information to turn into a huge unit study, or enough fun activities to accompany a large unit. So, I created the Two-Day Study Series to offer these small, quick, but still very interesting topics :-)
It is not necessary that you take two days to do this study. It is only a suggestion. You can easily adapt this study to last one day, or several weeks. Website links will be provided in case you decide to continue on.
Included within this unit are the following: information and facts page about the Bird of Paradise, illustration/coloring page, questions worksheet, puzzle activity page, basic copywork pages, suggested vocabulary words including definitions, blank vocabulary cards, vocabulary word search, and suggested websites.
As with all units by homeschool bits, this was created to be simple and not overwhelming. The suggested grade level is K-5, but depending on how you use the study, it could be used for higher grades.
The topics in the Two-Day Study Series are different and interesting. They could be used many ways. Here are just a few:
- start off the school day with an interesting topic
- end the school day with an interesting topic
- a supplement to your regular curriculum
- to fulfill an interest that your child/student has
- to improve skills
... and many others!
